3D Artist & Motion Graphics — Houston, TX
Bringing worlds to life through 3D art and motion graphics that move, breathe, and leave an impression.

Houston, Texas
I'm Nathan Tumbleson — a 3D artist based in Houston, TX, specializing in motion graphics that push the boundary between still art and living animation. I build visuals that don't just look good — they move with purpose.
From dynamic title sequences and product visualizations to abstract 3D loops and brand motion, my work is crafted to captivate from the first frame to the last.
I obsess over the details — the weight of a camera move, the timing of a transition, the way light wraps around a surface. Every frame is intentional.

This is a explainer video about a globe valve. I go through each and every piece and show how it works.
Using various softwares to acheive the final look and to add the fluid dynamics. A deep understanding of how the valve works and aniamtion knowledge is what brought this to life. Download and see the full process book below including the script, Storyboard, and Time Sheet below.

So this used a different style because I was mainly doing stylized things at the time and this ws the first time I had really attempted the realism style. I leanred and used different lighting techniqes to bring this project to life along with my first tackle at geometry nodes inside of blender.
This is a short story about a small little robot trying to find its charging station after his owners had moved it. Traversing different obstacles around the kitchen counter tops to find its charging station.
This was my first project involving a character of some sort which was challenging. Overall the new techniques in animating a character proved challenging but it came together in the end.
This was a project that my friend challenged me to make. He said make a simple background visual that looks and feels like star wars and this is what came out of that.
This is a seemless loop and is perfect as a background visual for a website or a dj or any where you may need a looping video in the background. Using different displacement and random dispursement throughout the project and using particle systems worked out nicely for the final product.
This project is a interpretation of a japanese temple left in ruins. Using different assets to show the final resting place of notorious samuri Miyamoto Musashi with the casket in the middle and a custom katana lying on top
Using different Modeling techniques to achieve the final look. The japanese temple is of cultural signifigance and is often looked at as a sacred holy ground.

This is another background looping visual that is more based for a dj visual than anything. It is a dynamic piece with the moving lights across the wireframe and the undulating mountains.
I used different geometry nodes setups to get the wireframe ontop of the mountains. Shaders setups are what made the moving lights happen.
